pros and cons of the fhsu web page

There are a number of good qualities that make up the front page of the FHSU website. The it is immedediately apparent that a good amount of hard work and effort went into the making of this page. Some of the things I would like to point out specifically about it include the following:

• visually pleasing graphics straight away
• navigation is simple and at the top
• when scrolling down the main page the graphics are visually pleasing and keep the page visitor engaged
• The nav bar includes two seperate nav bars. Doing this allows the viewer to find the page that they are searching for without cramming them all on one line.

Despite te number of pros that come with this page there are a number of mistakes that can be observed by those looking for them. These mistakes can range from barely noticable to problems that may need to be addressed soon. The ones I feel the need to point out include the following:

• when you scroll all the way to the bottom you notice that there is a second navigation bar at the bottom of the page.
• The page can feel very cramped since the toolbar and the cookies notifications seem to "squeeze" the page.
• The main page doesn't seem to have very much organization or reason. if feels more like an ad than a main page.
• The page could to a much better job of keeping related information together.
